Alvin, Winnie, Grace, Petra, and Sid had managed to escape from Androsaur’s horde that attacked them. Winnie leant on a wall, her breathe were panting.
“I’m worried about Sir Owen,” Winnie said.
“How about those two kids, Eric and Dan?” Sid asked.
“Dan ain’t answerin my call,” Alvin said, upset. “Shit, he ain’t respondin in time like this.”
“How about the civilians?” Grace asked.
“Oi, Pet, ya got sum insight?”
“We must split up,” Petra suggested, “One of us looking for Dan, one other fetch Sir Owen, one other looking for Eric. The rest help evacuation process.”
“Then let me take care of Sir Owen,” Alvin said, “Grace, ya go after Eric, he must’ve gone to his home. Old man, look for Dan, please. Petra, Winnie, take care of people evacuating.
They then split up to four directions.
“I dunno if they’re aware, but I just don’t pick em at random. I can’t explain it technically, I’m not as smart as Petra or Eric, but if we think of this as a game, every Genoranger got their own specs. My specs’re almost the same with Sid’s, good at attack and defense. If we go alone, we’ll not get fucked hard.”
This principle applied to every Genoranger. Winnie and Petra, their specifications were contradicting each other and not as great as other members, so they could be used for tasks other than fighting, such as helping evacuation of the civilians. Grace, whose specifications were pure speed, cannot fight alone without risking a fatal attack, Alvin ordered to chase after Eric. Although Dan and Eric's specifications were in the same direction, ordering Grace to search for Dan without knowing his position was the same as telling her to die.
The best choice was Eric. In his heart, he hoped for Dan and Eric’s safety.
Meanwhile Eric still stood inside his home, stunned seeing Gastornis Androsaurs preyed on his mother. Many emotions surging inside his body, each trying to reign over Eric’s mind. But when Eric saw his mother’s eyes, something inside him raised: anger. That emotion quickly controlled him and overflowed, blinding his eyes, crushing his heart. His Genophone and his DNA Key moved on their own as if responded to his burst of emotion, Eric then transformed into Tyrannorot.
Eric howled, in one move kicked Gastornis. That kick was the strongest kick Eric ever delivered. Gastornis flew back over three brick walls.
Androsaur was the same as animals, they did not posses reasoning, relying on their instinct to hunt and to move. Gastornis’s instinct at this moment told him to run away from Eric as fast as possible.
Grace heard a loud crashing sound and approaching it. She turned and saw Eric with bare hands attacking all Androsaurs within his vicinity. Grace closing in to Eric and tried to hold him.
“Eric, don’t! We can’t fight inside the city now!” Grace reprimanded.
Eric did not listen, instead he kicked Grace away, then continuing his intent to make as many Androsaur suffered.
Grace then got up from Eric's attack, then contacted her friends via Genophone that she had found Eric. But Eric was being out of control and he needed their help to stop him.
“Ok, we're going there,” Petra said, who was helping people to get into the bunker.
“No, four-eyes,” Alvin said, “Ya focus helpin the evacuation. I'll go there. “
“What about Sir Owen?” Winnie asked.
“Sir Owen is already with me, he’s drivin atm,” Alvin replied.
Moments later, a speeding jeep approached Grace and stopped. Alvin came out, still in the form of Triceraschwarz. He then put Eric on rear naked choke.
“Stop it, kiddo!” Alvin said, holding Eric's head and neck with his hands.
“LET GO!” Eric said, struggling, with his elbows pounding on Alvin.
“It’s useless, Eric,” Sir Owen thought, “Alvin had constricted the blood flow to your brain. Oxygen supply for your brain will get severed in seven seconds, and you will lose consciousness, no matter how strong the Genoranger suit’s protection is.”
Right, Eric then went limp and fainted, his transformation canceled. Alvin then carried Eric into the backseat, and the four of them then went away. Alvin and Grace then went back to their normal form.
“Where are we going?” Grace asked.
“Picking up Petra and Winnie,” Sir Owen said, “Then we think of ways to turn things around.”
“Stop the car,” Eric said.
“Eric, you’re awake already?” Sir Owen asked.
“Stop the car,” Eric repeated.
“Eric ...” Sir Owen called, “That was near your house, wasn't it? Your mother ... “
“She's dead,” Eric replied, “Androsaur killed her.”
Those who were there lowered their heads, Eric then said, “Mama never knew that I was a Genoranger. So funny, I became a Genoranger because I wanted to be a hero. But I can't even protect my own mother, the only family I have.” Tears flowed as he forced his laughter. “Trying to protect others, but I can’t even protect my most treasured. It's so funny, I want to cry.”
Everyone there understood Eric's feelings right now. Too understand ...
“Rest, Eric,” Sir Owen said, “Take it easy, you have all of us.”
“Tch,” Alvin said, “Oi, kiddo, I don't like to make promises that I ain’t sure I can fulfill, but ya know, I ain’t going anywhere.”
After they picked up Winnie and Petra, they drove to the oldtown in northeastern Natales. Sir Owen strongly opposed their suggestion to enter the bunker, because it would be difficult for them to get out without people knowing and certainly aroused suspicion. They finally entered the unlocked house, cooking their dinners at midnight. Eric himself already asleep.
“Can you contact the four of them?” Sir Owen asked.
“No sir, they did not answer their calls at all,” answered Alvin.
“We have to find them quickly!” Winnie suggested.
“It would be dangerous if we searched carelessly,” Petra said, “We should use drones to look for them.”
“That means we have to go back to headquarters,” Grace said.
“Ya sure the HQ still safe?” Alvin asked.
“Androsaur will not attack buildings where there are no people,” Sir Owen said, “Electricity is indeed off, but I have prepared a backup generator and solar panels to ensure the server stays active. For the time being, you should rest. Let me keep on watch.”

Eric woke up very early that day. Sir Owen fell asleep sitting on the couch, holding a book on his thigh. Eric cautiously walked out the door, then headed back toward his house. He would not rest until the Androsaur who killed his mother died. He came out of his house, and walked aimlessly. He saw Andorsaur Gastornis walking around the school area.
Eric then transformed into Tyrannorot. Gastornis felt Eric's aura and once again his instinct told him to run away from Eric. Eric took out Rexcalibur and attacked Gastornis.
A silvery figure passed and blocked Eric's attack with a sword. The figure then struck his shield at Eric, knocking him away.
Eric saw the figure, a silver Genoranger, but there were many different things about that Genoranger from the general Genorangers. He wore a cape, his body covered in armor.
Eric prepared and went forward to pursue the Androsaur, but the silver Genoranger stopped him again. The silver Genoranger thursted his sword, Eric dodged.
Once, twice, thrice. Eric then attacked, the silver Genoranger blocked with his shield.
“Who are you!?” Eric asked.
“None of your business,” said the silver Genoranger.
The silver Genoranger pushed Eric with his shield, then slashed. Eric fended the attack and then responded quickly. Eric's attack hit, but it had no effect at all.
“The point is, I must defeat you if I want to kill that Androsaur, right?” Eric asked.
“You will see ... How high is the wall between us,” the silver Genoranger said.
Eric was on guard, not blinking at all. The silver Genoranger is in front of-
Eric felt something warm in his chest. His transformation canceled, his body got cut from his right waist to his left shoulder, blood was gushing out. Eric fell.
The silver Genoranger approached him, but he ran away when a siren approached.
Few moments before Eric met with Gastornis, Grace woke up and startled everyone when she found out that Eric was gone. Alvin told Grace to turn into Velocigelb and chase after Eric. She didn't even know where Eric was, but the first place she thought of was Eric's house.
There was no one there, only a mound of earth with a cross tied with cloth, a tomb that had just been made. Eric returned to bury his mother. Grace then quickly went around the area around Eric's house, until she arrived nearby school. There were traces of battle around here, asphalt destroyed by sword slashes, fresh blood soaking through potholes, and a watch. Grace stopped her transformation and picked up the watch.
“This is Eric's watch,” Grace thought, “The watch stopped at 11:20. But it's still half past eleven...”
Grace drew conclusions and contacted Alvin via Genophone.
“Alvin, Eric was taken by the police,” Grace said.
“Oi, quit fuckin around! Did you see them!?”
“His watch stopped at 11:20. 112, emergency numbers for the police. Sir Owen, what should we do?”
“We should go back to headquarters and think of ways to turn things around,” Sir Owen said.
They got into the car and went to headquarters. Arriving at the headquarters, they were surprised by the presence of someone wrapped in bandages sitting on the couch.
“Sid!?”
“Hello everyone,” Sid called.
“Why aren't ya answering my calls!? How come you can be here!?” Alvin urged, “Wait, how the hell could you get hurt like this!?”
“Mr. Sid, did you find Dan?” Winnie asked.
Sid took out a watch that was covered in blood. They, especially Winnie, knew that watch.
Sir Owen asked, “Is Dan...”
“Dead.”
Disbelief struck those who listened. Alvin's eyes widened, Grace bit her lip, Petra too was saddened, even though he didn't like Dan much.
“Dan...,” Winnie said weakly, her tears falling.
“Jen and Judd killed him,” Sid said.
“What are you talking about?” Petra asked.
“They both killed Dan, also took my Genophone and my DNA Key. Dan... Dan see them do something and chase after them. Whatever it was, it was definitely not something good, they then silenced him. Judd then took out his Stahlsaurer to eat Dan's body.
“That's what they told me before they attacked me. Jen managed to disarm my Genophone and DNA Key before Judd attacked me. Luckily I managed to escape by entering the city forest. Before I fainted, I saw something approaching me ... A silver genoranger.
“I then woke up here, already treated.”
“Silver Genoranger?” Grace asked.
“Yes, does anyone of you know him?” Sid asked.
“No, I've never heard of silver Genoranger,” Petra said, wiping her tears.
“I've never been. Sir Owen, have you ever heard that?” Alvin asked.
Sir Owen did not answer, his face tensed. Alvin had to call him so many times until he answered no. Whatever happened, no one could know about the silver Genoranger, at least until the time comes. Telling even a word about the silver Genoranger would hurt this team.
“Sorry, I... I can't believe this is happening,” Sir Owen said, “We lost a lot today, it would be difficult to save Natales with just five Genorangers. First, we must find a way to save Eric. Saurierkaiser is our key if we want to win.
“I know that you are still sad about Dan, but we have things to do.”
“Sir Owen is right,” Petra said.
Alvin was silent, he was just frozen. Grace nodded. Winnie wiped her tears and nodded.
Meanwhile in an empty house, Jen and Judd hid. Judd's face was calm, while Jen sat trembling while staring at her own hands.
