Eric woke up on a hard mattress. He touched his chest, his wound had been stitched and bandaged. He looked around, feeling light-headed. There were only four gray walls, with small windows and heavy metal doors. He then remembered the moment after he had been defeated by the silver Genoranger; Several police cars came over and took him. Eric had set his broken watch at 11:20 a.m. and dropped it. He knew that Sir Owen would send Grace to look for him as soon as they woke up, and he was sure Grace would understand the message.

 

For now, Eric thought he should try calling someone.

 

“Uhmmm ... Where am I?”

 

“Oh, are you awake?” asked a policeman on guard.

 

The policeman opened the cell door and went inside.

 

“Am I arrested?” Eric asked.

 

“And you weren't handcuffed, were you? No, you were not arrested, you were secured. “

 

Eric nodded as the policeman continued, “Until that wound gets better, you better stay put.”

 

Meanwhile, Judd looked out of a window at the city clouded by smoke and Androsaurs. Jen was still shaking, then saw Judd calmly looking outside. Jen who was angered hit the floor.

 

“How can you be so calm?” Jen asked, “YOU JUST KILLED SOMEONE! HOW THE FUCK YOU CAN BE THAT CALM!?”

 

“Oh,” Judd said, “Yes, I did.”

 

“You really don't feel anything? Aren't you close to Dan? “ Jen asked, still shaking, but this time she was shaking out of anger.

 

“Oh, that ... Looks like you misunderstood,” Judd replied.

 

“Eh?”

 

“The only thing I care about is my payment. All I've been doing is so they won't be suspicious of us,” Judd's hands clenched, he refused to look at Jen's eyes, his expression akin to someone who was in pain. “You ... That's all, so don't say another word, Jen.”

 

Jen saw Judd's expression, she understood, “We'd better go to the Genesis’s building right away. Darwin must be waiting for our loot.”

 

Judd nodded, but suddenly the wall next to him burst as if it was hit by a cannonball. Jen and Judd transformed into Ankylocyan and Pachygrau, then rushed to jump out when the second attack occurs. They saw Arctodus Androsaur, a bear monster with extraordinary arm strength.

 

The current world record for handball throw was one hundred and seventy kilometers per hour. Arctodus could throw up to two and a half times faster with boulders that are tens of times heavier than handball. Arctodus' pitch had the same destructive power as modern ship's cannon.

 

Arctodus threw another stone at Judd. The only thing that helped Judd to avoid the attack was Arctodus' stance. The attack missed, hitting the building and destroying it.

 

Unfortunately, the two of them were not strong enough to defeat Arctodus. Their attacks didn't have much impact, that Androsaur was even able to catch Cephalonir and Ankyvasara. They were cornered, Arctodus approached them. But a young man with red hair came and hit Arctodus with a stone.

 

Arctodus turned and saw the young man, who took out a green DNA Key and a Genophone.

 

“ALLOGRUN.”

 

“Genochange!”

 

The young man transformed into a green Genoranger. Judd and Jen momentarily think he was Eric's transformed form, only in a different color. They weren't that far off, this Genoranger had the same specifications as Tyrannorot. We could say that this green Genoranger was the shadow of Tyrannorot, Allogrun.

 

Allogrun advanced towards Arctodus bare-handed, delivering a rush attack. Arctodus blocked the attacks with both hands and struck back with a kick. Allogrun stop the attack by stomping on Arctodus' left knee.

 

Arctodus's movement came to a halt. Allogrun then grappled Arctodus from behind and hold the monster's neck.

 

“That move ... Jiujutsu?” Judd asked.

 

Arctodus roared and jumped back, smacking Allogrun and his back against the wall. Arctodus did this over and over again until Allogrun released his grip. Arctodus punch Allogrun, Allogrun was knocked back.

 

“He’s been hitted!” Jen said.

“No, he jumped backwards to disperse the damage!” Judd replied.

 

Allogrun now was on guard, “If I don't use this, I can't win.”

 

“ALLONDIGHT.”

 

A giant sword appeared in Allogrun's hand and he charged. One, two, three slashes, Arctodus blocked it with its claws. Arctodus then attacks with a kick, Allogrun jumps up and performs a somersault.

 

Allogrun then did something unexpected: the Allondight's handle folded and extended.

 

“Allondight, Spear Mode!”

 

Allogrun crouched down, his left hand on front. Arctodus picked up a large rock and threw it hard. Allogrun then sped towards Arctodus. Arctodus dashed after the rock from behind.

 

“Idiot, he won't be able to escape!” Jen screamed.

 

“If he evades, the monster behind the rock can attack him!” Judd said, “Damn, if only we could move!”

 

Allogrun dived Allondight onto the ground, then swung it upwards. The ground blocked Allondight's movement and when the blade was released, the speed of his swing increased for a moment. That speed was enough to increase the cutting strength of the sword. Allondight cut the rock and Arctodus at once.

 

Allogrun then walked over to Jen and Judd.

 

“You guys, go, I'll take care of this!”

 

Judd nodded, he then hurried away. Jen tried to stop him, but Judd ignored her. Arctodus then grew into a giant. Allogrun then summoned his Stahlsaurer, Allosaurus and fought Arctodus inside the city.

 

“Judd! We're not going to help him !?” asked Jen, who had returned to her human form.

 

“No. Eric and his friends are coming here. We'll be attacked. We better get back to Genesis,” Judd said, watching Allosaurus bit Arctodus’s hand before walking away.

 

Sure enough, the battle between Allosaurus and Arctodus caught the attention of many people, including Sir Owen and the Genorangers. Even in prison, Eric heard about it on the television outside of his cell.

 

“Hey, Eric, right?” asked the warden, “Do you know anyone who controls it?”

 

“No, this is my first time seeing him,” Eric wanted so badly to get out, but the wound still hurt.

 

“Whoever he is, he is a fool. Fighting inside the city will...”

 

“Cause the residents to panic!” said Sir Owen, who rushed the Genorangers into the car, “We have to get over there and stop him before he kills more Androsaurs!”

 

Arctodus grabbed Allosaurus by the leg and slammed it, Allogrun who piloted it felt a strong shock, “Monster, you will be defeated in the name of justice!”

 

Allosaurus’s claws successfully attack Arctodus's eyes. Arctodus released its grip. Allogrun then controlled Allosaurus to bite Arctodus' right shoulder. Arctodus struggled to try to release Allosaurus's bite.

 

“Hyperbeam!” Allogrun exclaimed, and from Allosaurus’s mouth a laser beam was fired, severing Arctodus' entire right hand and burning its furs. Allosaurus then bit Arctodus’s neck off.

 

“I am Allogrun, the true protector of the city of Natales!” Allogrun proudly exclaimed.

 

Meanwhile Sir Owen was speeding his car with Alvin, Grace, Winnie, Petra and Sid. Sid, although unable to transform for now, was brought along so he won’t be attacked by Androsaur at the headquarters. They arrived at the place where Arctodus Andorsaur had fallen. Alvin, Grace, Winnie, and Petra transformed before getting out of the car.

 

“Oi, where’s da ranger that let that Stahlsaurer out!?” Alvin shouted.

 

“Tis I!”

 

They looked above the building where a green Genoranger stood. That Genoranger leapt down with a flip.

 

“My name is Allogrun, hero of justice that will save Natales!” Allogrun said.

 

Alvin instantly cringed when he heard it then he whispered to Grace, Winnie, and Petra, “Fuckin cringe, Eric is far more tolerable.”

 

“C’mon, warriors, let’s exterminate all Androsaur in this city!” Allogrun then tried to go, but Grace held him.

 

“Not inside the city!” Alvin said, “At least freakin lure them out of the fence!”

 

“It’s not a problem, right? Just kill all of the monsters, if things break the government just have to rebuild it,” Allogrun said.

 

“WHAT KIND OF HERO FUCKA EMPYTING NATIONAL’S BUDGET!?”

 

“Fine, fine,” Allogrun said, “So, how we lure them out?”

 

“We will need a lot of manpower,” Petra said.

 

“If it’s ranger you need, you got us,” a young man said.

 

They turned around and saw the young man, who was being followed by about twenty-five people, some of whom must have been over thirty years old.

 

“Why are you guys out here?” Winnie asked.

 

They all then showed their DNA Key and Genophone.

“You guys are Genorangers!?” Petra asked.

 

“My name is Jason,” said the young man who led them.

 

Allogrun then stepped forward, “Guys! These monsters have invaded our city, destroyed our homes! Are we going to wait for them to finish us off one by one!? No! We must move quickly and save Natales! Who is with me, the true protector of Natales!?”

 

They all cheered, except for Petra, Winnie, Grace and Alvin. Allogrun then asked them to prepare themselves and, at Petra's suggestion, divided them into five groups. The four of them introduced themselves to Allogrun.

 

“My name is Hyde, Hyde Yeager,” Allogrun told Petra, Winnie, Grace, and Alvin. “But keep it a secret please, the hero’s true identity must not be revealed!”

 

The four of them chose to hold their tongue and nodded. Hyde looked again at the Genorangers crowd.

 

“Hmmmm, weird, I didn't see them,” Hyde said.

 

“Who?” Alvin asked.

 

“Two people, one man and one woman. They're gray and cyan rangers.”

 

The four of them were shocked. Alvin immediately grabbed Hyde's shoulder and asked, “You saw them!?”

 

“Yes, they fought against Androsaur that I defeated. I saw them before they changed. I don't remember the male one, but the woman has blue hairs in her left bangs. Are they your friends?”

 

“No,” Winnie replied shortly, “They ... They are traitors.”

“They killed one of our friends and stole the DNA Key of our other friend,” Grace replied.

 

“Hyde, if you look at them again, don't hesitate, fuck the shit out of them,” Alvin ordered.

 

“So, they are the bad guys ... Alright, I'll beat them when I see them again.”

 

Meanwhile from afar, the silver Genoranger was looking at them from a skyscraper, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword tightly.

“Time to eat, Eric,” said the warden.

 

Eric nodded, “Thank you, sir...”

 

“David,” replied the warden.

Eric then took a bowl of soup and drank it. Prison’s food wasn't as bad as he thought.

 

“By the way, why are there so few police here, Mr. David?” Eric asked.

 

“Most of us fended the monsters away from the hospital,” David replied.

 

“And yourself?”

 

“Someone has to be on guard here, right?” David then asked, “Is it hard to be a Genoranger?”

 

“I... used to want to be a Genoranger to protect the people, but my own mother was killed by Androsaur...”

 

“I understand that feeling. I used to be like that too, being a policeman to protect society, but my son died, killed by a robber.”

 

“Then why did you still continue being a policeman?”

 

“I wanted to leave once, but I realized that my faith must not be broken. If I can't protect my own family, I will continue to protect others’ so that the same thing doesn't happen to them.”

 

“Thank you, sir,” Eric said, “What happened to the robber?”

 

“The robber has been put on trial and jailed for life in another city. Eric, you don't fight humans, these monsters, they know no law and are not protected by it. We ordinary humans can only hold them for a while with our equipment, unlike you and your friends. You… understand, right?”

 

“Yes ... I understand,” Eric said.

Judd walked behind Jen, alert with every step of the way, avoiding Androsaur as best as he could, avoiding battles inside the city as best as he could. Their destination was the Genesis Inc building in the downtown. When they got close, they saw many Androsaurs lying around, their eyes were on Judd and Jen, but their bodies couldn't move at all.

 

Judd then looked to the left, a few hundred meters away stood a hospital. He looked at his hand, thought of Dan’s life that he had been forced to take. Judd then clenched his fist, to convince himself that everything he's done so far was a step for a kindness.

 

“Wait, mother ... Soon ...”
