Even that strong thunder couldn’t damage that silver Genoranger. Apatoblitz and Diplodonner were the one on the ropes. All of silver Genoranger’s attacks didn’t have any meaningful damage, but his defense couldn’t be penetrated.

 

A Miacis Androsaur came from behind and pounced on silver Genoranger. That attack landed, but it as if phased through silver Genoranger’s body. The silver Genoranger spun and finished that Androsaur in one hit.

 

“We’re done here,” he said as he went away, “You want to be a hero? Just help them.”

 

“Wait!” Diplodonner whiplashed silver Genoranger, but he’s gone in a blink of an eye.

 

Miacis grew into a giant. All of the Genoranger inside Saurierherzog with Jason inside Vulcanodon saw that Androsaur appeared.

 

“Another one!?” Petra said.

 

“Don’t give up, friends!” Hyde shouted.

 

Hyde then fired Allosaurus’s mouth cannon to a group of Androfutter. They then saw something else; two Stahlsaurers with almost exact shape combined into one robot, each forming a half of that robot. Stahlsaurer Apatosaurus and Diplodocus, two twin Stahlsaurers combined into a unity named…

 

“Dopplekaiser!” Apatoblitz and Diplodonner shouted.

 

“Two new Genorangers!?” Grace exclaimed.

 

Dopplekaiser advanced, both of its hands attacked Miacis, his pike-like right hand went shredding, his spear left hand went stabbing. Miacis went back, some Androfutters came to help circling Dopplekaiser.

 

“Jason, help them!” Hyde commanded.

 

“Wait, look at that!” Alvin said.

 

Dopplekaiser’s head changed, both of its hands extended and turned into a whip. Dopplekaiser with its two whips cut tens of Androfutters that tried to attack them into shred.

 

Saurierherzog and Vulcanodon approached Dopplekaiser, many of Androsaurs and Androfutters circled them.

 

“You guys in the other robot, declare yourself!” Hyde said.

 

“My name is Caesar,” Apatoblitz replied.

 

“And I am Nero!” Diplodonner replied.

 

Meanwhile in the prison, Eric and David the warden ate together inside Eric’s cell.

 

“Eric,” David said, “The chief is en route to the next town to announce your identity as Genoranger.”

 

Eric looked at that old police, then continue eating.

 

“Whatever people’s reaction about that, your life forward will change,” David continued.

 

“I will keep fighting with other Genorangers,” Eric said.

 

There was a sound of explosion and wall collapsed, followed by the scream of the prisoners. Androsaurs that still remained in town stormed the prison. Eric and David got up, a Sinonyx Androsaur with few Androfutters, both black and red, now knocking on the gate to cell’s corridor. David’s HT reported the news.

 

“This is northern gate! All personal, prepare your we-”

 

“All personal, retreated into the base! We will fight them inside!”

 

“This is isolation cell! Prisoner Sieg has escaped!”

 

David then ran into the back of his desk and reached for something, two unique guns. He shot into the Androfutter’s horde, the Androfutter that got hit suddenly tensed up and collapsed. David then gave Tyrannosaurus Rex DNA Key and Eric’s Genophone to him.

 

“Run,” David said, “You cannot fall here, Eric.”

 

“How about you!?” Eric asked, “You better run, let me…”

 

“No! There are one hundred and twenty prisoners here, and they are my responsibilities. Killing those monsters here without evacuating the prisoners are not the right choice! Go, Eric!” David then threw one of his guns to Eric, “That gun only has twenty-four bullets, make sure all of them counts!”

 

David then shot Sinonyx and paralyzed it. Eric nodded, he then ran away. Luckily the gun he carried was light and had low recoil. He used his chances to shoot some Androsaurs and Androfutters that attack the police or the prisoner, before he finally went outside, holding his breath from the smell of fresh blood that dancing with the air around him.

At the same time with the appearance of Dopplekaiser, in the hospital…

 

Judd looked at his mom’s body that laying still in the hospital, tears still dampened his face. Next to him, Darwin looked at Judd and his mother without expression. Darwin then placed his hand to Judd’s shoulder.

 

“Darwin, I…”

 

“I understand. You do this contract for your mother, and now she is gone, it is normal for you to quit from this job… But, you want to give up?”

 

“What do you mean?”

 

“Genesis is developing a technology to resurrect the dead,” he then added after he saw Judd’s expression, “It is possible. We found out that it is possible for the dead to be resurrected as long as they haven’t reached rigor mortis.

 

“It sounds like nonsense, but you can read our research result to rats and monkeys, and in reality, we succeeded. For human, there are still no result, but…”

 

“I’ll take it,” Judd answered without hesitation.

 

“Are you sure? Your mother will be Genesis’s lab rat, and not to say the cost…”

And now Judd… Judd, he willed to become Genesis’s guinea pig. I had to stop it before it was too late!

 

Jen’s mind raced as she tinkering the computer in Genesis’s research room, looking for evidence that what Darwin said was just bullshit. She didn’t know what drive her to do this. Why should she care about Judd? Why didn’t she just go to another town as far away as possible from Natales and left this all behind?

 

She didn’t know the answer. Her eyes scanned the research data, as far, what Darwin said was the truth. Research “Project Phoenix” was in line with what Darwin told to Judd.

 

“There must be… There must be something that can make Judd rethink his decision,” Jen thought.

 

Jen then tried to open a file, that file then asked for a password before Jen could open it.

 

“Password?” Jen thought, “Un momento (a moment), Phoenix, Phoenix, resurrection, immortality… No, Darwin isn’t like that… Which means…”

 

Jen then ran her fingers under the desk and found a piece of paper, on the top was written: “Filename: ##########, Password: Cappuccino.”

 

“Favorite coffee at eight in the morning,” Jen mumbled, who also love that coffee.

 

Jen successfully opened the file and looked at the content.

 

“No… No way!”

The battle outside the city was over. All Androsaur and Androfutter there had been killed, and eight Genorangers there had put away their Stahlsaurer. From tens upon tens of Genorangers that appeared, only three survived the battle; Jason, Caesar, and Nero.

 

“There are still Androsaur and Androfutter remained inside the city,” Nero said.

 

“Gimme a break,” Alvin said, “Don’t push it.”

 

“What about our friends that were killed?” Winnie asked.

 

“There is nothing we can’t do except looking for their DNA Key,” Petra answered.

 

“About that,” Caesar said, “There were two people taking DNA Key of fallen Genorangers, Judd and Jen, if I am not mistaken.”

 

Alvin, Winnie, Grace, Petra, and Hyde were shocked.

 

“We fought them, but then a silver Genoranger got in our way. Any of you here knew him?” Caesar asked.

 

“Does this silver Genoranger had a cloak?” Sid asked.

 

“Yes,” Nero said.

 

“That silver Genoranger saved me after I was attacked by Jen and Judd,” Sid said, “But now he saved both of them? What’s his goals?”

 

“Maybe he tried to help as much Genoranger to unite,” Sir Owen said.

 

“What if we look for – what’s his name, oh yeah – Eric now?” Jason suggested.

 

Sir Owen suddenly swore, hard.

 

“What’s wrong, Sir?” Alvin asked.

 

“Listen to this!” Sir Owen said, who plugged out his earphone and show them news, “NATALES POLICE CHIEF: RED GENORANGER’S IDENTITY IS ERIC RASHILLE.”

 

“They exposed Eric!? What’s their point!?” Petra surprised.

 

“Just lookin for attention,” Alvin said, “As usual, status and stuffs.”

 

“But, isn’t this dangerous!? What if they also knew our identities!?” Winnie added.

 

“I don’t think so,” Hyde said, “Even if they know Eric’s identity, doesn’t mean they can track us, right?”

 

“Hyde is right,” Sir Owen said, “But, with this Eric’s movement will be very limited. Maybe we can’t get close to Eric without attracting attention to us again. First, we have to…”

 

Their Genophones beeped loudly, they then saw many Androsaur and Androfutter approaching them.

 

“Looks like we can’t just rest easily,” Jason said, taking out his Vulcanodon DNA Key.

Back at Genesis’s building, Darwin entered his room. Jen waiting for him inside, she looked at the window.

 

“Jen, what’s wrong?” Darwin asked.

 

“Darwin,” Jen replied as she stood still, “I know what you, no, what Genesis are doing all this time.”

 

“Since when?” Darwin asked, his shoulders tensed, but his expression remain calm.

 

“Just now,” Jen replied.

 

Darwin then glanced at his chair, “My chair moved by four centimeters from its initial position. Jen, what did you do?”

 

Jen turned, revealing Pachycephalosaurus, Stegosaurus, dan Parasaurolophus DNA Key in her hand, along with Sid’s Genophone and a flashdisk.

 

“Darwin, I won’t let Genesis get away from all of this!” Jen said.

 

“ANKYLOCYAN.”

 

Jen then transformed and jumped outside from the window. Darwin rushed to that window, taking a gun under his desk that turned into a sniper rifle. He then aimed at Jen.

 

“So, this is it?” Darwin mumbled, “Arrivederci (goodbye), Jen.”

 

Darwin then pulled the trigger, and a bullet flew away, hitting Jen’s body.
